« on: February 24, 2012, 11:41:01 AM »
Rather than starting lots of "Good Morning" threads shall we just use this one and keep it running?

Let me start by saying...

GOOD MORNING!!!!!

I'm hoping Viv will be along soon to take breakfast orders!  Also, if there's an Adonis going spare I need some housework doing as we've got visitors this weekend!  ;D

GOOD MOANING PEEPS!!
We decided to de-flea the dogs this morning - with old fashioned flea spray and are now having too keep them all separate for the time being! Moley is in the dog house, trying to kick the metal gate to death and is emitting a terrible high pitched squeaking sound. Boo Boo Bear is howling and howling and Naughty Noodle is locked in the kitchen and sounds exactly like sweep!!

So very noisy in our household this morning!!

No matter how far you push the envelope - it will still be stationary!

Good morning all!

Just come back from doing some shopping. Thought that as it was carnival week and there are balloons for sale in the supermarket, I would buy 2 packets and do an experiment with homemade Waspinators!

There wasn't a price on the packets but I thought, how expensive can 2 packets of 8 balloons be?

Stopped off, as you do, and had coffee and a pie as it looks like the Adonis 4 may be busy today. Very nice the pie was too!

Now I'm home. Just looked at the receipt from the supermarket and the balloons were 9.20 for the two packets! That's about 7.80! That can't be right surely to Gods.

They are going back. It would be cheaper to buy a Waspinator!

IS IT A GOOD MORNING?

My day hasn't began yet!

In fact I'm thinking of having a duvet day--and hiding, things might just go away then--

'The Things' I refer  to are Molly& Teddy Pom Pom(stupid names for Yorkie pups) and not forgetting our very own Gracey----

Why can't mums say NO to their kids! and stick to their guns!

I've now had a sample of two nights without much sleep as the babies moan whimper and yelp all night!Gracey's not talking to us--thinks she's sulking--because of her cousins long stay in her domain!

The amount of baby dog stuff, chew sticks, chocolate buttons, hair brushes, towels, puppy food, carrying cage, huge crate to keep them out of mischief, the list is endless----My kids as babies didn't have as much baggage as  Molly & Teddy!

No walking around the house in bare feet!

Surprises everywhere!

Kitchen floor reminds me of the cats toilet in Corfu,mop-bucket at the ready all of the time--hot soapy water and lots of Domestos----the kitchen smells like a cinema toilet--

I'm tempted to use Jays fluid on the outside path--another toilet, but, the darlings are sooo stupid they might drink the wet floor--and they'll be piff paff puff---

Only another 19 days with our visitors---Pray for me :'(

When we rescued our current dog I said no staffys and no puppies!  And guess what we ended up with?!  Yep, A staffy puppy!  What was I thinking?   We've always had older dogs and a puppy was a complete shock to the system!  Although I don't know if the problem was the fact he was a puppy or a staffy!  I have come to the conclusion that staffys have a lovely temperament but they are bonkers!

Anyway, my waffling is to say Maggy, I feel your pain!!  ;D ;D ;D

Re my ballons post. Ribena has just told me that I could have bought a pack of 100 balloons from Amazon for 3.50. My, obviously gold-plated, ones are going back tomorrow! Amazon here I Come!

I'd certainly take them back and ask for a refund---good luck with that one!!

I'm trying to make the connection with balloons and Waspinator?

I've seen imitation wasps nests type of thing that hangs up and is supposed to kid the wasps into thinking that it's a nest------how about using good old plastic water bottles,a wooden skewer and some rancid meat, fish, cat or dog food--not forgetting the little hole in the bottle----wasps memories seem to be worse than mine--as they know how to get into the bottle via the hole---but---forget that there is only one entrance and one exit----the same hole :-\

We have the bottles hanging round the verandah all summer Maggy. I just don't like seeing all the maggots in with the wasps! I just thought I'd have a go with a balloon inside a paper bag. It wouldn't look much different to a Waspinator and it might keep the wasps away without me seeing loads of dead wasps and wriggling maggots! Yuk!

Oh Right Trisa!
I sort of get the drift of a balloon inside of a brown paper bag :-\
The inflated balloon --inside the bag looks as if the bag is inflated --hence refugee wasps think they are trespassing  on other wasps territory--so hopefully move on?

I have the lovely job of emptying the water bottles maggots wasps and rancid meat down the loo---- ???

Every year we have used the hanging bottles with sugar water and ham suspended in it and caught hundreds of the little blighters, last year decided not to put anything out as hubbie said all we were doing was attracting them and guess what for once he was right we had very few bothering us and used the electronic bat to see them off.

PS. Saw my first mosquito of this year today.
