A woman's logic!
« on: December 02, 2015, 02:30:44 PM »
Or is it just my logic?

The saga of in no particular  order continued !!

Getting back to the dining room and Christmas dinner !!!

The curtains are up! The curtain rails been lowered to make the curtains fit!
The windows been measured for new slats of vertical blinds!

The blind  man came this week ,rearranged the blind track using different brackets!
He hung the extra wide slats,,,as pr arranged he left us to put the plastic chains on the bottom of the blind slats ourselves!

Needles to say the blinds are still awaiting their chains!!
They swing in the draught every time the door is opened!!!

I'm getting the point ,,won't be long now!

In the living room I sit on a green leather queen Ann type chair, mainly because it's higher that the rest of the living room furniture
It's easer to get off!
But not that comfortable to sit on!

Sitting on queen Ann at the weekend I had the bright idea of what kind of chair would be easier to sit on for me!
I decided a carver type ding room table chair with arms on would do the job  just great!

I trawled the net!
Eventually found one of these chairs ,,it was brown leather,it blended in with the living room furniture!
The price was right!
It was next day free delivery and free returns within 14 days if not suitable!

Before hitting "the buy button" I thought it prudent to mull my intentions over with my darling!

We'll it was like the Spanish Inquisition !

How would I know this chair was suitable without trying it out in a shop?
Surely you need to try it out before buying?
If you want a more suitable chair I'll take you around the shops until we find one that suits your needs!!!

The thoughts of furniture stores or large chain store departments filled me with dread!
It's Christmas time,,well nearly !
Parking!!
Wheelchair!
Lifts!

I only wanted this particular kind of chair to support my back!
Sit up right now and again!
It wouldn't be any good to rest my eyes in!
I'de still use queen Ann!

The chair I'de chosen filled my requirements  and it was unobtrusive in size!

The debate went on for that long ,my order page had expired ,once the page was found again ,the next day delivery had expired !

The end result was ,,,buy your chair ,I hope it does its job well!

Now my logic kicked in!!

When the carver chair was not in use,,it could live in the dining room at the head of the dining table!
But I'de want it to go under the table like our other chairs without arms!

If the chair I was about to order could be tucked under the table ,,,why didn't I order two!!!

That idea ,I,put salt onto until my chair arrived!

Arrive it did on Monday !
It was better than I expected!
My only criticism of it is ,I would have liked the ends of the arms rounded off and not suare cut, those observations I kept to myself!

My suggestion of buying another one for the opposite side of the table now came into play!

Yes not a bad idea,as we always need extra chairs at Christmas for seating ,saves getting out the fold ups and the mosh mash of others!

But,,only if they tuck in under the table!

Don't know why you want them to tuck under the table ,there's plenty of room in the dining room and around the table if they don't fit under the table!!

The arms of my chair don't tuck under the table,,but I can I've with that!
The second chair is arriving today between 2  and 3!

In my mind now ,,we can get rid of the mish  mash of chairs that are used to seat people around the Christmas dinner table!theyre already on the way to the tip,,more junk gone!

And ,,I'm told my logic is hard to follow :(

Think before you speak! If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

Well, I followed your account all the way to the end. Now I think that my head is going to explode! ;D
Photographers are violent people. First they frame you, then they shoot you, then they hang you on the wall.

Well I thought my account of things was very easy to follow! :-\

I'm now trying to remove Mr M's exploded brains from the walls and ceiling !! ::) ::)

Decision time again ,,shall I put a small cushion on the carver chair that's going to live most of the time in the sitting room :-\
"Thinks" I'll leave it empty  :P

I forgot to ask the blind men when at the house to measure up for a complete blind for another window ,,,I'm dragging them out once again next week!
When I phoned the blind office to tell them I'de    forgotten to ask about the other window,I had to ask the man at the end of the phone to speak more slowly !!
His reply was ,,he and the fitters and the blind makers were really busy and didn't have time for long telephone conversations with customers!
He only wanted the basics ,like name address and phone number  ::)

I told him if he spoke more slowly he would save time,as customers wouldn't ask him to repeat himself so that they could understand him!
His reply to that was,,are ye but some customers take that long to get to the point,,he could have made a blind in the time it took them to give basic details!

Do you mean me ,I asked!
No not you in particular ,but I do remember your first saga about you only wanting slats! You already had the track and weights !
And you wanted the track repositioning!

Ohh you remember me??
Ye how could I forget ::)

I'm still laughing when I think about his words  ;D

I think you've got to come from Liverpool to understand that he meant no offence and there was none taken  :)
