Touching base
« on: February 18, 2016, 02:42:39 PM »
I'de like to thank everyone who has posted their good wishes to me ,,,,thank you  :-*

I don't remember anything about my operation,,,,,I can't even say I was in dire pain,,I just felt disoriented most of the time!
My visitors on one occasion had to inform the ward sister that I had just fallen asleep mid sentence,,,with a mint hum bug in my mouth,,,
 Are the twitches normal?
Having pupils the size of pin heads normal?
Mouth being so sore and dry I couldn't eat ,,,
No voice or it sounded like a really bad telephone connection!
My hip operation was the lesser of my ailments!!

Morphine and upped doses of my own pain killers brought about these symptoms!

Reading the blurb beforehand I knew a general anaethetic took longer to recover from and displayed some strange symptoms,,,,I refused to take anymore liquid morphine in the end ,,cocodamol
did the job just as well without the side affects.

Home after five days ,,oh to be in my own bed !
Physio therapists knocking on the door!
One leaving with my read James Patterson books!

A pre hospital appointment visit to our GP,,,nothing to do with my hip op!

Where's your voice gone?
Why can't you eat?
After neck mouth and throat being examined it was discovered I had thrush,,the sort babies get if their bottles and teats are not sterilised properly!! Not that my babies ever had thrush !

The voice and mouth problem is nearly sorted!
My exercises are going we'll!
I had my staples out yesterday. ,and if I wait another two days I can have a shower!

My main concern now is "staying awake" I can sleep for England!

Thanks once again for your wishes!

Good to hear from you Maggy. I am sure that I am not the only one that was getting worried that an update had taken so long in arriving!

Glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery Maggie as my old Gran used to say don't run before you can walk.

Thank you for the update, Maggy! It's a relief to hear from you again!

I bet that your shower will be the best shower ever!

Don't forget, slowly, slowly....... :)
