I missed a Day - sorry
« on: July 19, 2013, 08:45:47 PM »
Thursday day before we went to Messonghi.

There we were just lazying around the pool.  I felt like doing my lengths around 1.00 pm so in I goes after about 10 lengths I happened to look up and there was Angelois our lovely fisherman calling us  :o  I called to Mr Viv and told him to go up as I was all wet.

Now we spoke with Angelois everyday as he walked pass us and that was about three times a day and he and Mr Viv talked about the fishing etc.

He had taken to us and we to him, we were introduced to people as his friends  :-*

Anyway up Mr Viv goes and I carry on swimming for a bit.  Down comes Mr Viv and says you will have to get out of the Water and come up and do not worry about being wet  :o so I dried myself off as much as I could rapped a dry towel right around and of I trundle up the path to Angelois house.  Inside I goes and in the Kitchen there was a very large glass of red wine  for me :o :o (Sorry Bob the alcohol had to come into play) and a plate of good Feta cheese how lovely and refreshing it was.

We were shown around Angelois house pictures of all the family and pointed to each one telling us their names and what they did  :-* :) :)

It was so cool in his house and there was no air conditioning.

I laughed at the massive container of Wine he had.  It was in like a 3 litre Vegetable Oil container.  3 Lites of Red Wine for 6.00 but it was a lovely Red Wine not sweet but not to dry - just perfect. No Bob I did not finish the container of  :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D just the one Glass as I cannot drink in the afternoon normally.

How lovely was that.  It was really kind of him and he is such a lovely man.

If I have spelt his name wrong then I apologise.  Maybe if Jan reads this she will correct me as Jan knows who I am talking about.  Thank you Jan.

Viv

Drinking wine in the daytime Viv?

No wonder you missed a day!

We buy those big plastic containers of local wine, very nice too!

That's what happens when you don't drink normally!!??! ::) You miss out whole days! :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Some of our Greek hosts are just so hospitable aren't they! Angelos sounds like yet another good friend you have made along the way.
Think before you speak! If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

He is a lovely man Trisa.

I think a good few years ago he used to do the Boat Trips from Benitses for the tourist.

Jan will correct me if I am wrong  ???  ;)
